Urge the Council to Support Pre-K for All DC

Since DC Council Chair Vince Gray set a November date to introduce pre-k legislation, several news outlets have picked up the story and reported it to their audiences -- the Washington Examiner, NBC 4, ABC 7, WUSA9, WAMU/NPR and the AP Newswire. The challenge is to take advantage of this timely news coverage to ensure that our DC Councilmembers support high-quality Pre-K for All DC.

Join us in urging the DC Council to make pre-k a legislative priority!

Subject: Prioritize Pre-K for All DC This Fall

Dear [ Decision Maker ] ,

I urge you to make high-quality pre-kindergarten for all three-and four-year-olds a priority in your upcoming legislative and budgetary agenda.

Decades of research indicates that a solid early learning foundation can help to close the achievement gap before it begins.

If we give every child a successful start, they will achieve more in school and in life.

So, it is important to me that the District makes Pre-K for All DC a key part of our effort to improve the school system.

Thank you for your time.

Sincerely,
